Multipurpose 3D Printed Tool
Design Problem:
Designed and prototyped a 3D-printed toolset for assembling a solar-powered water purification machine. The toolset streamlines the tightening of various nuts and bolts, enabling efficient assembly in remote communities.
Assignment:
The design team was tasked with designing and producing a 3D-printed prototype tool (or set of tools) to carry out the assembly.

Final Design Review:
Strengths:
Changing the angle of the head, comfortable handle grip, minimized material, lightweight, compact, flexible, versatile.
Weakness:
Tolerance issues, difficulty in keeping the pieces together, and the hex heads do not fit with the wood.
Changes for future Steel Prototype:
Develop a mechanism to securely lock components in place, accounting for the lower friction of 3D-printed materials compared to steel.
Verify that the material weight adheres to the engineering requirement of 5 lbs or less.
Ensure all edges are smooth and free of sharpness for safety and usability.
Adhere strictly to the production plan to ensure accurate and efficient product development.
