Design Problem:

• Non-profit company designing a system to release chlorinated water into bodies of water to disinfect the water.

• The customer is looking for a proof-of-concept design that uses water of different temperatures rather than chlorine and contaminated water.

Assignment:

1. Uses a sensor to measure the temperature of two water sources (cold water tank; hot water container)

2. Controls the water flow (using a valve) from the cold water tank to the hot water container

3. Uses a motor connected to a microcontroller to control the flow of water

4. Opens the valve for calculated duration to add cold water to cool hot water to target temperature
